It is their mission to provide a range of literacy services and training that enables children, adults, and families the opportunity to achieve success. It is estimated that more than 39,000 adults in Lucas County alone read at the Below Basic level and are functionally illiterate. Another 100,000 adults in Lucas County are estimated to read at the Basic Level.
